Biography

Toni joined the agency on November 5th, 2018, bringing over 15 years of experience promoting health and wellness in the Sacramento community through her work as a caregiver and nurse’s assistant. As a mother of four and grandmother to nine, Toni is skilled at helping mothers understand how to balance motherhood with busy lives by taking things one day at a time. She offers a gentle yet authentic approach to supporting clients and affirms that they can see themselves in the pregnancy coaches. Toni believes that making a change in one family’s life is all the gratitude she needs, and her spark for helping others is unwavering. During her time with the organization, she has supported 90 pregnancies and 59 beautiful babies. She is also a committed foster mom who welcomes her foster babies with a lot of love and patience. Toni is also a volunteer with United and Guided, an organization that promotes relationship building among Black fathers and their children. Every Sunday, they meet up at Tahoe Park for a fun day filled with outdoor fun and food. She’s too modest to admit it, but everything she cooks is delicious! Toni shares that her secret ingredient is love. She does pour her love into whatever dish she cooks. She stays focused on what she is doing and makes sure she’s not distracted. Toni uses the same approach when it comes to working with the moms of BMU. When her mom’s share their stories with her, she makes sure that she is listening closely to connect them with the resources they need. Toni is excited to continue working with the moms through BMU to make sure they feel heard, supported, and valued.
